7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #86 - winner announcement!

@travelshots Asian Sunday entry:

"Thu Thiem Bridge" offers probably the best view of the city center of Saigon with the Saigon River in the foreground. Here you can admire beautiful sunsets as the sun disappears just behind the skyline. After dark the skyscrapers are reflected in the water, which can be used for impressive long exposures.

@fotogruppemunich Australian Monday entry:

Since we spent a long time near Sydney, it was also possible for me to photograph the Opera House at night. There was no extra light show on this evening unfortunately. Nevertheless it was an experience for me to be at this place in the night.

@vinceboisgard Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:

Last bit of land before the open waters. On the Northern Ireland coast, the storm is forming in a far distance and will soon hit the land. I stand on top of a cliff looking at these clouds building up thinking how quickly can the weather change. Location: Northern Ireland.

@vcclothing African Wednesday entry:

The view from Table Mountain looking down on lions head mountain and out to the Atlantic ocean is an amazing sight to see when you are in Cape Town South Africa. Just remember to Bing a jacket with you if you visit in the afternoon, as the winds change very quickly and it gets cold fast.

@mrprofessor European Thursday entry:

Port of Koper - Slovenia. After days of cycling on the snow in Europe, finally the sun showed up on the horizon of the Adriatic sea. Nothing like contemplating the golden hour while seeing the boats disappear on the distance.

@gunnarheilmann North American Friday entry:

Instead of the usual light beam from the top at mid day I had to create my own light beam at Antelope Canyon. Mid day tour was full 😁 So I pointed the big flashlight through the opening of the arch. Who knows which side it is. Upper or lower? I give a hint: V or A

The Cocora valley is a valley in the department of Quindío in the country of Colombia. It is located in the Central Cordillera of the Andean mountains. "Cocora" was the name of a Quimbayan princess, daughter of the local chief Acaime, and means "star of water". The valley is part of the Los Nevados National Natural Park.

That's a great view looking down the valley

Hundreds of pigeons in front of the Bogota Cathedral on the Bolivar Square. Officially known as the Metropolitan Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, this majestic Neoclassical Roman Catholic church is located in the center of Bogota, Colombia. Occupying approximately 5,300 sq m (over 57,000 sq ft), the Bogota Cathedral is the largest cathedral in the country and one of the largest in all South America.

Photo of a sunset taken in Caracas (Venezuela). This city is a valley and the photo was at the top of one of the lesser south hills. You can see the layering of different mountains at the south-west of the city, creating a nice mood in the image.

Nice one, I can imagine being there chillin.

Took the drone for a spin to look at some glaciers in Patagonia

I like this photo, buy flying up high we can get perspective. Here is a drone photo I took in Patagonia (South America), that gets a nice view of some ice and the clouds and forest. What a beautiful day and hope you like the view!

This is also post on my blog @snowyknight

The skyline of Panama City

Here's another photograph of my recent trip to Panama. Panama city, a buzzing Metropolis in a rather quite country. It is weird to see this skyline, once you have experienced other bits and pieces of this country. 704 klein.jpg

I'm not familiar with Panama at all, there's a lot more skyscrapers than I imagined

There are many important Inca sites in Peru, of which Ollaytaytambo is one of them. It's not as busy as Cusco but still has its fair share of archaeological sites. The town isn't large, particularly when its over towered by the surrounding mountains. It just makes one feel so small in comparison to nature.

The Morro hill. I can not describe the pleasure I feel when I observe the colors that unfold when I look at a sunset. It's a wonderful thing, and you say to yourself, "It's a gift from the creator" and you stay ecstatic contemplating this beauty and as if it were not enough when the sun is already hidden is another different and equally beautiful show. My favorite place to see the sunsets, is in the highest part of El Morro hill, located in the town of Lecherias, Anzoátegui State, Venezuela

The golden hour in Playa Lido. Venezuela.
I love this photo of the golden hour because it shows beautiful colors of soft and warm tones that we can appreciate and that offer a beautiful contrast with photography.

Cotocachi is first the name of a volcano, but in the city of the same name, in Ecuador, you can admire several levels of vegetation. From the level of the Cotacachi summit to the humid tropical forest in the lower parts of the canton, close to the Pacific Ocean, the altitude goes from 4939 m to 200 m. There is something to see for everyone.

Pink Glorious Sunset

My photo is a pink sunset over Agronomy faculty, in Buenos Aires, capital of my beloved Argentina. This neighborhood is one of the last ones that conserves its essence intact. Feets on earth, these faculties are two lungs in the middle of the neighborhood, I used plural because is place of the faculty of veterinary sciences too, there are even cows here and you're a subway from the Obelisco that's pretty rare for a big city like this one.
If you want to find peace and relax after a long day Agronomia is your spot to leave behind horns and traffic jams.
