Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @krakonos:

Donjon, Rokštejn Castle, Cezech-Moravian Highlands, Moravia (Czech Republic). Donjon, (tower i left) it means Last Defense Tower. It was the last place the defenders of the castle retreated when all the defensive zones were broken. All the property was left in the palace. A steady supply of water, food, arrows and stones was kept on the tower. But this donjon did not resist. It was dug and burned from the side.

I rewarded @krakonos entry with some extra upvote. Feel free to visit his blog and check out some of his other entries.

Thank you for your submissions. Have a great day and keep on Steeming!

Church of St Ludmila
This is a lovely part of the city. The church is located at the entrance to namesti miru metro station. We have been to prague both in the summer and winter now. This visit was in the summer so it was lovely to sit on the benches outside the church and watch the world go by. In the winter, this location has a small but worthy christmas market which sells anything from food to souvenirs etc. There is a tram stop right outside the church also.

Praha-Libeň railway station is a mainline railway station located in Libeň, Prague 9. The station is situated within walking distance of the O2 Arena. It is not connected to the Prague Metro, but is connected to the city's public transport system by buses and trams.

Chapel of St. Clara, area of Botanical Garden in Troja, Prague
P1100512.JPG
The chapel was built by Count Šternberk before 1700. The Countess was also named Clara.
The chapel has been repeatedly modified. The last time after the 1924 fire.
There was a miracle in the mid-1950s. Alternatively, the specter was raging here. Certainly the bell was ringing on its own.
At that time, communism ruled here, and specters and miracles were forbidden.
Events were thoroughly investigated by the secret police. The result was surprising. A little monkey, who ran away from the court zoo, rang.

Hoorray, spring is here, trees get new leaves. The Petr's and Paul's cathedral with its slim towers is the dominant of the city of Brno and also became a motif for 10 Czech crown coin. It was built on Petrov hill. Around it you can find low houses where the bishop's office and Diocesan museum are

Strahov Monastery
Absolutely beautiful libraries, standing in the doorway you can see the shelving, frescoes, and smell that wonderful smell of books! With regular entrance tickets, you can only look in and have to pay extra for photography perks. Along the corridor are also exhibitions of artifacts.

Old Town Square
We were lucky enough to visit during Easter and able to see the Easter Markets on display with all of the very tasty food and also the lovely decorations around the square. It was very busy but this didn't take away from how beautiful the buildings are.

Cesky Krumlov
Immerse yourself in this magical place. Stroll for hours. In every corner you may find a unique house, facade or lovely shop. It´s a compact and small town that you can easily walk around. Make sure you walk in every single street! You´ll thank me later ;)

Prague Castle is a palatial complex built over different periods, which houses several palaces, churches, cathedrals, squares and convent. The ideal and go in the morning and spend all or almost all day. It is accessed without cost, but visiting inside palaces, towers or churches requires one or more tickets. You can climb the bell tower of the cathedral and see the clock mechanism (interesting). I would highlight the alley of gold, without a doubt the most original place inside the castle.

St. Vitus Cathedral
Just seeing this Cathedral from the outside is draw dropping enough. A huge structure that shadows over everything yet is very Gothic and beautiful that you can’t wait to get inside. The history and beauty of this building hits you with every step you take. Amazing stained glass windows allow the sun to fall and light up everything on the inside. The contrast of the old gothic structures and the newer golden touches just make this place a true sight to see. The Cathedral was worth going to Prague Castle for, an amazing experience!

Because it is ✨—Easter Monday—✨ only once a year here again are the for this region typical animals to be adored (- & unfortunately eaten -) at this specific point in time...!....
In the Czech village Konárovice where I took this picture our animal-friends are usually enjoying a jolly good time in summer ~ here they are in a large park rooming around freely and waiting for delicious snacks from the kitchen to be carried by...! These charming twins may seem a bit too old for still preferring their own mother´s milk instead... but who am I to ever blame them ~ 🍼💝😅 ~ !
