Ayutthaya is one of the most tourist attractions of Thailand. It’s famous for its valuable historical sites. I myself love to explore history so Ayutthaya is also my travel destination.

Ayutthaya used to be the capital city of Thailand 417 years ago. It is considered the longest-lived capital in the history of Thailand.

There were a total of 33 kings ruling, with the first king being King Ramathibodi I (King U Thong).

In the photo below you will see the exquisite monument of King U Thong. It served as a good memory for us.

In Ayutthaya Historical Park, there are traces of evidence showing the great genius and abilities of our ancestors who dedicated themselves to creating prosperity in arts, culture and wealth for us.

And one of the ancient temples in Ayutthaya Historical Park is Wat Phra Si Sanphet. It’s located in Pratu Chai. It is an important temple built in the Royal Palace.

It is a temple for our ancient Kings and royal family members to hold personal religious ceremonies and other royal ceremonies. This temple is a royal temple in an ancient palace. There were no monks staying.

Wat Phra Si Sanphet is comparable to the Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram of Bangkok (Wat Phra Kaew) or Wat Mahathat of Sukhothai.

My first feeling was like I was back in time into the glorious past when Ayutthaya was once the capital. The area inside the temple is spacious and beautiful with ancient sites and valuable ruins.

Even though it deteriorates over time, there are still traces of the grandeur of the architecture. Imagine how beautiful the temple was in those days!

Looking over the wall which looks like a wall separating time, you will see the three Lanka-shaped pagodas which are the highlight of the temple. They stand tall and are prominent arranging in a striking long line.

These pagodas are surrounded by other precious ruins. They were laid out in order.

It’s great to see that everything is still preserved with sacred magic and they have beautiful charm.

After admiring Wat Phra Si Sanphet, you can visit Wihan Phra Mongkhon Bophit which is located next to Wat Phra Si Sanphet. It is also an old temple inside the city wall.

Inside the Wihan Phra Mongkhon Bophit, there is a beautiful Buddha statue called Phra Mongkhon Bophit. It’s a large Buddha statue that has been damaged, but it has been completely renovated.

(it’s unfortunate that I didn't have enough time, so I didn’t go inside. Just imagine!)

In fact, in Ayutthaya Historical Park, there are other interesting tourist attractions to visit (as I presented some photos to you in my old posts), if you want to know how good and beautiful they are, you must try and prove it yourself.
