Phra Pathom Chedi, the largest pagoda in Thailand - Part I
Phra Pathom Chedi is located in Wat Phra Pathom Chedi Ratchaworamahawihan, Nakhon Pathom province, not far from Bangkok. It’s said to be the largest pagoda in Thailand.
Phra Pathom Chedi is shaped like an inverted bell. It’s decorated with yellow-red tiles.
The ground floor consists of a Viharn in four directions.
It’s the place where the relics of the Lord Buddha are enshrined which are revered and worshiped by Buddhists all over the world.
The temple therefore scheduled a festival to worship Phra Pathom Chedi annually.
According to our belief, if we would like to bring good fortune to our lives, we would have to walk around Phra Pathom Chedi 3 times to make a wish for the sacred things to come true as we hope.
Besides, while walking around, you can admire the beauty of Phra Pathom Chedi and the good surrounding atmosphere as well.
