Visiting Jesus' birthplace in Bethlehem
So last year I visited the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, Palestine. Even though I am not particularly religious, I grew up as a Catholic and arriving in Bethlehem and entering this grand church with so much history was very touching.
The Church of the Nativity was built on top of the cave where Christians believe was the Nativity of Jesus.

The Church was built in 339AD and has since had various renovations and restorations.
Special moment
Ths silver star beneath the altar of the Grotto of the Nativity is believed to be the spot where Jesus was actually born

As you can see by the scaffolding there was still renovation work being done but the beauty was still undeniable. This was one to tick off the bucket list, the experience was incredible and there was definitely a spiritual aura inside this Church.
If you are planning a trip to Israel I would recommend you visit this place as is really close to Jerusalem.
I wanted to ask you, you are a Catholic, I'm a Protestant, but we are both Christians. In your Catholic and in our Orthodox churches, everywhere there are icons to which people pray !? But there is no such scripture in the Bible - to pray to icons, a person should pray only to God! What do you think of it?
Thank you @whereisandrei, I have never seen this place.
