the thing here is the "lonelyraster" moving over the whole screen, as you got more than 255 ( $FF) scanlines theres a bit to set for the lower ones, usually its skipped in some way and the bottom chunk is used as one, for instance to play sid tunes and check controls and what not , but thats for easy so here we tried to figure out how to keep a stable one (also across the skank lines ... which is another machine specific concept which you cant call skank lines on official forums or they'll call you out for a crank im sure ...) so it switches up the timing and the lower bit to have a line across every single scanline, i THINK this one skips pushing the X register on the stack during the interrupt calls to save some time for the skank lines but its been a few years HAA HAA

this one

"Mandala" , is a remake of mandala by us here but the first one uses bitmaps for textures while this one generates the textures before the intro starts executing so its underthehood different
and the GLSL-type background makes it different too but the idea was mostly "generate your own in a memblock here"

o, i think i saw that crackbaby that sometimes hangs around under that guys porch at 3 to 4 to 5 in the morning skulking across the street last night

could you please not do that, or could someone keep it on a leash so we accidentally don't mistake it for a loose crackbaby and bump into it in the dark and then have to explain ourselves why there's a dead crackbaby on the road ?

Well, here in the outback of the hinterlands , especially in the drecklands around this time of year, before the whole backside of the royal gardens here turns into one big puddle (and this is the TOP of the hill btw ...)
