maybe its the same causality : life is getting shyter, fuckers older, more deprecated (thats a word everyone in similar scenes understands) , not just cuz A.I. (which will prove itself to be what it really is eventually, the question is how normalized the plebs will be by then ... if enough then it wont really stand out how stupid this thing is and in fact understands NOTHING of what it says)
and hence the scene gets tighter, people huddle around something common, its like a mental fireplace

So scene revival is escapism into something familiar which recalls better days
but it could be worse
lots of these people are actually intelligent albeit somewhat artificial in prefab behavioural patterns they still tend to understand what they say as long as the question is asked properly (well i know jippedee needs that too .. hmmm)
