Didnt get anywhere on the TIC-80 game ofcourse but i DID figure out the remap ... i was stuck on javascript callback but in fact its a parameter that says wether a baked-in system function will be called or not (a rather powerful one considering that thing doesnt have magic functions for collision ...) , the tutorials are written a bit misleading, as usual "for people who already know" (like scene-tutorials), because it uses the word remap in the command ( map( a,b,c,d,...,remap) making it look like a function call but in fact the word remap is a reserved magic constant which boils down to a boolean = true, THATS WHY you need to fill in ALL parameters to get the remap to trigger, or else, well basically i was typing remap but that was doing was setting colorkey to true ... i think thats what was happening ...)
SO, we get 8 point collision, a 50 screen horizontal map and REMAP !!! i assume you can use remap to spawn "enemy" sprites from invisible tiles as well but its fairly new ... syntax like a = arrayname (which is table or something) also .. actuall it seems to be the same as the php array_contains or string_contains, something similar, so you dont have to iterate you just go if array = "value" it triggers which i think should make the collision rather easy : if P.c = pickuparray or something might take care of all the numbers included but

and you find out for the 100th time : its not my programming .. on the TIC this week i found my playersprite moving on boot after i added variable velocity (some kind of pseud physics at 240px), when decreasing it got stuck on 0.01 and when booting it initializes at 0 but when the actual game starts the debug print shows 0.01 .. so i thought MAYBE it take =0 at init as "this is integer" and somehow fucks it when i multiply , no when i add 0.01 per tick to simulate increasing velocity (nothing fresh, i think even Sonic in the 90s had that) so you cant just FULL STOP by pressing the opposite direction and you also wont when jumping off a platform, it will decrease by itself when falling etc etc and it also defines the length of a jump, a velocity of 2 will have the player jump tice as far ... but thats not it, initializing as 0.00 didnt help , so ultimately since i now saw a debug print of 0.00999999.... i had to add a line at the end that says if < 0.01 then =0 ... and THEN its 0
so its one of those million dollar problems , the one where you have to solve 0!=0 i think ( ... )

Yesterday felt like een snood plan van drukkerland all over again. Like something demented got back to "NU GAAT HET LUKKEN" and BUITEN SPELEN, en DE MENSEN ... in samenwerking met de famillje Wezellenemnekiejer en de Federation of Randmongolen from het Gatste gat in Gatland ... i been triggering all day like an automatic rifle and got nothing done . Strangely enough the day before i was on my actual rythm, got up one hour later than today , got the whole house cleaned and advanced decent on the TIC-80 game ... yesterday it woke me up an hour earlier, by the time i blinked it was 2pm and nothing got done, barely advanced on the game and GOOD THING the house was cleaned and the laundry done that night.
MMh, like someone gave one or more disposable idiots who are easy to pull the idea again that anyone still has a say in my life despite even the last bit of income being taken and somehow my privacy is public good ... nothing execptionally weird in een gat where briefgeheim has never been heard of.
Looks like the favella got cleared too , i didnt notice yesterday i looked outside and it was all gone. Tic-80, yes well got on it and now theres too much code not to make at least a small game from it, something to put on the itch page and probably the only one that will have the code open (you dont have much choice on a TIC). More interested in the pico series , not just because tron and voxatron but because they offer the option to compile binaries where you cant just read the source ...
