Worst jog time ever...home is not always the final destination.
I went out for a jog. Like I was saying in one of my previous posts, I enjoy running. Sometimes I have a lot of energy from the get go and I can tell I will have a good time . When my app tells me what my timing was for the first mile, it gives me an idea how my second mile is going to be.
When I went out today, my goal was to run 3 miles, because I always always always run 2 miles. So I was aiming for an extra mile today. Except it did not happen at all.
My timing was 10:28 in the first mile which is pretty much the worst ever. I was hoping to bring it down in the second mile and get a better average, but that didn't happen. My run ends at the house , and it marks my 2 mile track, but today my run did not end at the house. Which led me to believe that home is not always the destination. You always gotta go further.
When I was running, I was thinking about what I am going to write today. I let my mind wonder. I was thinking about @HarukiMurakami and how he wrote about what he was thinking when he was running. I was thinking about my current situation and how hard it is not having a job, how I struggle to keep my shit together in the sense that I don't want to be defeated by the fact that I don't have a job. But a job for me right now is not just getting paid and having money, for me a job is a passion and career in Human Resources-which I really enjoy.
So, chin up and look forward. It will happen.
As far as my timing today, although I am bummed, it's just a small set back. I am not giving up.
Hope you all are enjoying your day and having a great Sunday.
Namaste!
Dee
