Simple post, but honestly… kind of satisfying to read. There’s something oddly calming about seeing all the states lined up alphabetically like that — Alabama, Alaska, Arizona… it just flows. I remember trying to memorize them years ago, not very successfully though. Somewhere around Missouri my brain would just… give up.

And when you look at the list slowly you start noticing things. How some names feel heavy and old — Massachusetts, Pennsylvania — while others sound almost wide and open, like Montana or Wyoming. Hard to explain exactly. Just a feeling. Fifty states, one country, but each name carries a completely different landscape behind it. Forests, deserts, coastlines, huge cities. Snow somewhere… sunshine somewhere else.

Anyway. Simple list. But strangely enjoyable to scroll through. Makes you realize how big the country actually is.
