It is quite funny that my nurses kept on greeting me for my birthday. I thought that I was going to get away without sending them food but prior to my birthday date they were already greeting me "Advanced happy birthday". Then after my birthday date they are again greeting me "belated happy birthday" as if they kept on reminding to buy them my celebratory food.

It is because during my birthday in the past few years I would always buy them a quite extra ordinary meal, foods which they really enjoy because of the amount of the meals I was buying for them. So now the are just expecting me to buy them again hence the extra greeting that I get.

The thing is that they are not greeting the other patients belated happy birthday and I guess that I am just the only one which they are extensively greeting and it is a funny thing. Thanks be to God that I am able to buy them their food and I quite pity them because they are one of the few renal nurse teams which are less fed by patients because not all patients or most of us cannot afford to give them or treat them some special food.

Anyway, it is also important for me to buy my renal nurses things like that to give them some happiness because in that way I will at least be favored when for example I would request for a thing or favor like making my seat to be positioned the way I wanted, i.e., to fully recline because it is my preference and sometimes the recliner seat is hard to recline down by myself alone, or perhaps make the orderlies to happily pick me up and wheel me in and out from the treatment area of the dialysis center, things like that. So favors I give to my renal nurses will really give me a better experience in the dialysis center.

It is better to have a good interpersonal relationship with my renal nurses and the rest of the staff, the secretary, and the orderlies/all-around technicians because I want them to give me favors in return because the fact that I really needed them when I am in the dialysis treatment area.

Actually I want to be a friend to everyone and sometimes it comes with a cost so if I only can afford to give more treat my renal nurses more frequently, then I will do it. But it feels awkward when I do not involve my other co-patients because it will get too expensive because this treat-giving is one of my big expenses for the whole year.

Sort:

I was diagnosed with hepatitis B two days ago. The test showed that I have hepatitis B e antigen positive. Now I don't dare to get close to other people, for fear of being shunned and infecting them. So I don't like making friends anymore.

Apparently mine went away and I attribute it to my Moringa powder use which probably facilitated my body's natural way of getting rid of the virus by supporting my immune response, at least that is what I believed what happened.

Anyway, you cannot infect others, infection is via sex and through contact with infected blood contamination. I hope that you get healed my friend.

Thank you so much, my friend. I was really touched to hear you say that I am your friend, because all my friends are slowly drifting away from me.

I don't have much friends either, it is a big word for me because a real friend is always with you no matter what, like someone is there ready to help when you needed them and vise-versa.

What is important is that we should have at least someone who loves ad cares for us. If none of those are present in our lives, it is indeed a sad and a hard life for us to endure.

God bless you always.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts so sincerely; I truly agree with what you said. For me, "friends" are also very precious; it's not about quantity, but quality. Being able to care for each other and be there for each other when needed—that's what matters most.

I'm also very happy to have this exchange with you. May we all be treated with kindness, and may you always be loved and protected. 🙏

Hello friend, I admire the way you appreciate your renal nurses by giving them some token of appreciation for the the care and love they rendered to you during your birthdays most patients won't do that even if the have the ability to do so. And don't feel bad for not involving other patients just give what you can give and the God that sees you will continue to bless you. Have a nice day friend.
