My brother plants bougainvillea cuttings and sells them through Facebook marketplace
There are many ways to earn either a living or for your supplemental additional income and that is to make a product from your expertise, like a food product, your niche of trade, ex. cellphone repair, or selling ornamental plant, fruit plants, and vegetable cuttings or seedlings.
That is one of my brothers is doing, now he is selling Asparagus seedlings which he grows with the seeds he collected from his previous harvest. He is just posting his crop in Facebook marketplace.
It is not his main source of income because he is a high school trade teacher and this entrepreneurial endeavor of his is just I guess his hobby and his productivity pays off because he is getting sales from everywhere. I think his co-teachers and student had an impact about his sales because they can support him for sharing his posts in Facebook.
In Facebook there are also groups for so many variety of things that you can imagine under the Sun, and so with regards to where you can post a thing that you specialize in order to achieve your goal from buying or selling you can find some results because some people in particular wants to buy this or that and they can just find it in Facebook marketplace or groups for that matter.
In my opinion the price doesn't matter especially if you are selling a delicious and quality food for example, then people will continue to patronize it especially if they are craving for that particular food item which you are selling. The key there is to put all what you have for your product or service to make a quality product and people will not bother a premium for it.
It is unfortunate that I can't venture on this type of informal economy because of my physical limitations because I too have a specialty that I guess will get its own "Audience" but again it will require me to sweat my pants off in order to pull it off because it requires cooking, packing, and delivery and I can't just possibly do it. I just now belong to a crazy high risk high reward scheme but it pays anyway and hoping to make it big someday depending on how things will go in the mid and long-term future of my personal financial endeavor which I am now tied to and maybe die doing.
Anyway, some people doesn't realize the benefits of today's modern way of socializing because you can actually use it for your advantage if again you have a specialty, then you can make some money out from it because some people have needs and some people have something to offer and both of you can meet in the middle which can benefit both of you. Now it is not a problem anymore to advertise your specialties because there is a thing called "word of mouth" where social media can magnify it and it does really help you particularly if your product or service is good, then you can get positive results.
