Steemit Challenge Season 30 Application | CineAtlas 60 — One‑Minute Cinema Map
Hello Dear Steemit Team,
I am submitting my solo application for Steemit Challenge Season 30 with an original concept built around two active Steem dApps:
CineAtlas 60 is a creative challenge where participants produce one-minute micro-films shot on smartphone and published as a Speem.watch video, while using SteemAtlas to pin the filming location so the season builds a world map of short films.
✅ Important note (Steemit curation requirement):
Since curation is done only on steemit.com, every video must be directly viewable on steemit.com to be counted for curation.
Therefore, participants will be encouraged to include a YouTube link (or any Steemit-embeddable player) in addition to Speem.watch.
❌ IPFS-only links will not be accepted for curation.
This is not a travel quest and not a hidden-clue game:
the goal is to create a global “cinema atlas” with a collection of real places turned into short cinematic stories, using simple weekly filmmaking rules.
The engagement system is based on film critique, where participants must leave “Shot Breakdown” comments on other entries.
Mandatory platforms / video requirement
SteemAtlas (mandatory): each entry must include a pinned filming location (public place / safe location).
Video requirement (mandatory):
- ✅ Speem.watch link (primary upload)
- ✅ A second link that is viewable on steemit.com (recommended: YouTube)
- ❌ IPFS-only links are not accepted for curation.
Challenge format
Two weekly posts published by the host:
- Weekly Challenge Post: theme, rules, examples, deadline
- Weekly Results Post: the six best entries, honorable mentions, and highlights (best films + best reviewers)
Each weekly entry must include:
✅ SteemAtlas pin
✅ Micro-film video (20–60 sec)
- Speem.watch + YouTube (or any Steemit-embeddable player)
✅ short description (what you filmed + how you applied the weekly rule)
✅ At least 4 screenshots/stills from the video (optional but recommended)
Engagement system (the twist)
Instead of “hidden clues”, the interaction is based on cinema feedback:
Every participant must comment on at least two entries weekly with a Shot Breakdown comment:
- Identify the weekly technique used
- Mention your favorite moment (timestamp)
- Give one constructive suggestion (framing, light, story clarity, sound)
This creates meaningful comments and real community discussion.
CineAtlas 60 — 6 Week Plan
| Week | Film rule (theme) | What to do on SteemAtlas | Micro-film requirement (20–60 sec) |

Best Regards, @kouba01

Sounds like interesting contest that covers speem and atlas both, my best wishes.
I really liked the geo-quest mystery that you are running in this season 29 and I participated in every week from the first to the fifth week and tried to do my best. It feels good to see something different from you again today. You have shown some very nice things here and have given a short description of the six weeks here and I can see that you have tried to connect some very wonderful things here. I hope that this application you shared will be selected and I will be able to participate again. Thank you for showing us this beautiful post.
Another great opportunity to continue learning how to use Steem Atlas and Steem Video. Best of luck! 👍🏽
চমৎকার একটি টপিকের আবেদন করেছে যেখানে এক মিনিটের সিনেমা ম্যাপ সৃষ্টি হবে, হয়তো এটা ইন্টারেস্টিং হবে 🙂
@kouba01 - Please Note - we only curate on steemit.com so any videos must be viewable on steemit.com to be counted for curation. We do not follow IPFS links.
That s ok.
So you might want to encourage participants to include YouTube links as well.
Thanks for the note! I understand. I will ask participants to include a YouTube (steemit-viewable) link in addition to Speem.watch, and I’ll update the rules accordingly.
Thank you for sharing on steem! I'm witness fuli, and I've given you a free upvote. If you'd like to support me, please consider voting at https://steemitwallet.com/~witnesses 🌟
