Innocence of Childhood

in #childhood4 days ago

When children are small, they do not know the difference of rich and poor, they will play with anyone who they enjoy with, it will never bother them if that child is poor or rich. But then the parents come in to the picture and start filling up their ears showing them the difference of rich and poor. All children have innocent minds, it is the parents, teachers, relatives who influence their thinking and put all the barriers in their mind. The creation of God is perfect, no malice, no wrong intentions, no discrimination but then as humans we like to bring all of this into the picture and create disharmony in the perfect creation of god.

An infant will smile and play with anyone, but as they start growing up, the influence of the society teaches them who to mingle with and who to not. Which I feel is so unfair. If we grew up without all these conditionings how different this world would be, there would be so much love and compassion for another. It is possible that in childhood you may have a poor friend but as you grow up that poverty starts drawing the line between friendships and creates distances. There are very few for who these lines do not matter. The whole society's status and money power gets on to us. We may still be talking to that person, but being that friendly as childhood times is a big question.

My dad was a middle-class person, but he had some very rich friends, they were some real genuine nice people, who never showed disrespect towards my father. So, it is not that always it is the case, but then yes, their children have distanced out from us. The next in-line did not continue that friendship, though in childhood we all played together and were friends.

These classes that society has formed of rich, poor, middle class, I wonder sometimes what these rich people would do in the soul world, or in that case even the poor ones. The middle class are always the sandwiched ones...haha. As adults we must be giving good values to our children, teach them equality and make them practice it but rather we do it the other way around. We teach them how to differentiate social status, who is worthy of us and who is not making human life so complicated.

I wish we could retain this childhood innocence forever, how wonderful it would be to live that. Imagine if Hitler had that innocence, there would have been noWorld war II.
