Teaching Is a Partnership
Daybook March 21
Teaching and learning do not occur separately. They are a shared process between teacher and learner.
Teaching is often misunderstood as something a teacher delivers.
But real learning does not happen that way.
Teaching and learning form a shared process.
The teacher guides, but the learner participates.
This principle remains the same whether we teach nursing students, staff nurses, or patients and their families.
Education is not a one-directional activity.
It is a collaborative movement toward a shared goal.
One Line for Nurses and Learners:
Teaching becomes powerful when learning becomes shared.
