RE: New Diet: transition to it, or dive right in? (Comments = High Upvote)
So true! I have also come to the point now that whenever I go on a cleanse I get crazy energy and get a lot done. Years ago when I started cleaning up my diet it was the opposite, I stayed in bed with flu-like symptoms feeling sorry for myself. Now it's like you said, a manic experience:D
Cheers!
Who would have thought that all of these drug foods were suppressing our detox? :D
Yeah, drug foods is a good way of describing them. For me, the hardest food to give up was cheese which is probably one of the worst foods for health. I have later found out why: cheese contains casein and morphine, two highly addictive substances.
When we digest casein one of the byproducts is casomorphins, a protein fragment that triggers the brain's opioid receptors, scary stuff!
And to add insult to injury the cow also produces morphine that ends up in the milk and therefore in cheese. According to Neal Barnard, the founder of the Physician’s Committee for Responsible Medicine, "milk actually contains morphine, which can clearly be seen when milk is inspected under a microscope. Morphine is not added to cow’s milk; cows actually produce these opiate-like chemicals on their own."
So cheese should be classified as a narcotic drug! And is also chockfull of puss, saturated fats and concentrated milkproteins. Not your mother , not your milk!
Indeed! And good point: “...should be classified as a narcotic drug.” :)
Yeah, people should have to go to the doctor to get a prescription before making their pizza... :D
