Addressing negative emotions and thoughts

How much ever we try to be positive all the time, but it's not practically possible. There will be moments when your mind will slip into negative states, and I always believe in addressing them and not neglecting them, or neither feeling guilty about them. The last few days were so peaceful and serene and filled with all positive thoughts for me, but then something happened yesterday and it triggered me and since then I have been flowing into negative thoughts. I am very conscious and aware about these negative thoughts, and at the same time I do not wish to bury them away, because I know if I bury them they will keep resurfacing back again and again.

I completely understand what is triggering these negative emotions and I am going to address the situation, that's the only way I can get away completely out of this negative mindset. But in this moment I need to stay calm, because to the person I need to address, if I do it right away I may not do it in the right manner, because I feel angry. So once my mind settles down with this anger then I will address it with the person.

Some times it is difficult to handle these emotions, especially if it's with people who are very close to you, but then for our peace of mind addressing it is also important. I have always believed in talking it out, how much ever bitter it may be, when you talk it out and express it in the right manner, I believe that it heals the situation by itself. After all as humans we go through all of these emotional experiences in our life and they are inevitable. I do not feel that getting negative thoughts is very wrong, it is something that needs to be acknowledged and accepted.
