SC-S29|Geo-Quest Mystery – Week 2: The Sound Map
Hello friends, I hope you are all well. For the second week of the Steemit Challenge contest, I will be sharing my sound map. I would like to thank the organizers of this challenge, and without further delay, I am starting my participation.
Atlas Pin Location
Bhatiary Hathazari Link Road is an area within the BMA where mountains, lakes, and natural beauty have all converged in one place. It can be said that the hilly areas of the Chittagong Hill Tracts start from here. There is no dense settlement or clamor here. Mountains and trees are all around, and occasionally, one gets a glimpse of the lake's beauty.
A long connecting road from Bhatiary to Hathazari has been constructed through the mountains under the supervision of the Bangladesh Military to connect the people of the two regions. People cross the mountains using this road to go to Hathazari, and people from there come to Bhatiary.
There are some limitations to traveling through this road. All types of vehicles cannot ply this road. Only Jeeps that run on mountain roads and low-weight vehicles operate here for commuting. There is no restriction for the movement of small cars.
There is a specific time for commuting through this path. At 7:00 AM, the army keeps their blocks open for the movement of local people, and after that, they close it at 6:00 PM because there were previous records of various crimes occurring here due to it being a hilly area.
The Story Behind the Sounds
This is a place where the entire area is filled with a natural environment. Large mountains, a lake flowing amidst the mountains, a narrow pitch-cast clean road running between both, a noise-free environment, the presence of birds, and so much more.
Large trees can be seen at short intervals; as the shadows of the trees fall on the road, the sunlight is not felt at all while walking. And the road is completely quiet. Every few minutes, one or two cars are seen; otherwise, you can easily walk on the road if you wish.
The habitation of birds is greater than that of humans here. After walking a short distance, one can see colorful birds and their chirping. While walking along the road, I saw some birds sitting on the security walls on both sides of the road. As I went closer, they flew away, so I tried to take photos of the birds from a distance by zooming in.
The more I walked by the side of this road, the more the cool breeze hit my body. There are some trees that can only be seen upon coming to such terrain. After walking a bit further, I saw "Jharuful" (broom flower) trees. Brooms for cleaning houses are made with these. Those who live here collect these with much hardship and go from house to house to sell them to local people. These were somewhat high up, so I had to struggle a bit to take photos.
People come here for jogging in the morning and evening. There are no local settlements here. The leaves of the trees are always seen swaying, and a rustling sound of the leaves can be heard. Standing on the road above, you can see the large mountains and all the natural beauty in the distance.
Personal photographs
I walked along the road for about 20 minutes, enjoying the surrounding environment. The road was so beautiful and clean that it was heart-filling to see, and I was thinking how wonderful it would be if all the highways of our country looked like this. Some parts of the road are high while some are winding; the road goes right over the mountains, so those who have trouble walking will find it very difficult to climb further up.

I walked a bit further up and could see the long lakes from above. It was clear from above that the water in the lake was crystal clear. There was no path to go down directly to the lake from where I was standing because the road was on top of a mountain which was very steep. However, I enjoyed this scenario very much and tried to capture many moments. In my selfies, the lakes and mountains are visible behind me, and I was at the very end of the link road.
Speem.watch Proof Video
To capture this sound map, I did videography and focused on keeping the major parts of my location in the video, and most importantly, I focused on the surrounding sounds. Below, I am sharing the IPFS video link.
In the first few seconds of this video, you will be able to hear the chirping of the birds very well. I tried to focus the sound by aiming the camera at the trees. And in the video scenario, you will see the pure beauty of the mountains and the lake ahead.
Motorized vehicles were passing behind me. You will be able to see the sound of some machines passing by me in the video when I was turning back. I had already set my camera to focus more on the audio output in the zoom section, which you can notice well in the middle part of the video.
This was the location I visited to pin the sound map. Upon going to this place, there is only peace and peace. The movement of people is almost negligible. To make the eyes feel tranquility, there can be no better natural scenario than this. However, one has to be a bit secure when coming here because the presence of local people is low; but I visited the location specifically for the sound map so that I could bring out the best output on the topic.

Thank you for your participation in Geo-Quest Mystery – Week 2: The Sound Map. Here is an evaluation of the post by @ripon0630, following the official Week 2 rubric for Geo-Quest Mystery.
Evaluation Summary
Final Score: 6.90 / 10
Remarks:
This is a high-quality location choice with strong SteemAtlas documentation and an appealing natural sound theme. The main scoring limits are: (1) the missing three-sounds hidden challenge, (2) the proof video accessibility (some viewers unable to load), and (3) engagement beyond the author’s own comment section. Fixing the video reliability and adding a proper hidden-sound puzzle would quickly push this entry into the 8+ range.

Thank you for visiting.
Wow, you have shared a very nice contest post, brother. The sound of nature is really amazing in the video. Thank you very much, brother, for giving us such a beautiful post.
One thing about places like this is that sounds remain in the minds of people. The vehicle that passed can be heard from far and even as the vehicle is gone, since the place is quiet, it would be as if you're still hearing the vehicle. Those who live in estates will know this. You get to hear the rustling of leaves as I heard.
