❓ Quick Question: Profile Usage

in Steem Dev2 months ago

After yesterday's mammoth post, today I have a quick question that I'd like as many responses to as possible please.

Within the Profile section, there are 8 pages:

  • Blog
  • Posts
  • Posts - Comments
  • Posts - Payout
  • Replies
  • Communities
  • Notifications
  • Settings

Please can you order them by how important you think that they are.

I.e.:

  1. Most Important
  2. Least Important

If you would like to group some elements that you can't separate, then please do.

For example, mine might be:

  1. Posts - Payout
  2. Notifications & Replies
  3. Posts - Comments
  4. Settings
  5. Posts, Blog and Communities

My rank:

  1. Posts, Posts - Comments
  2. Notifications
  3. Replies
  4. Blog
  5. Settings
  6. Posts - Payout, Communities

I have considered the use of my own profile as well as the profiles of other users.

The steemit still has the API issue. Who's in charge of the maintenance of steemit? Why does steemit neglect this issue for more than 3 days?

Hi @happycapital,

I think this problem has been happening for over a month - some comments and replies never appear for me at all.

I really wish I knew the answer... I saw this comment earlier today, suggesting that a fix has been made but I haven't seen anything get better!

My understanding is that our witnesses aren't able to improve things either and we're reliant upon the Steemit Team - if it was something that the witnesses could fix, it would've been fixed by now (and almost certainly wouldn't have been broken in the first place). Unfortunately, communication from the Steemit Team has hit an all-time low so I don't expect them to let us know what is happening.

I really wish I could be more helpful.. I wish that when I contact somebody from Steemit, they would reply. But they don't.

Unfortunately, there's nothing to do for STEEM witnesses.. it's a serious problem.

My profile, or someone else's?

Ah, interesting. I hadn’t considered the distinction between the 2 and I’d like to make the positioning consistent so I probably should have done.

1- Posts
2- Blog
3- Notifications
4- Replies
5- Communities
6- Settings
7- Comments
8- Payouts

I didn't know what's a Payout tab before today. I don't think I found it useful enough to be used in future as well.

4- Replies
5- Communities

We learn something new every day 😉

  1. Posts
  2. Notifications
  3. Replies
  4. Posts - Comments
  5. Blog
  6. Settings

I never use:

  1. Posts - Payout
  2. Communities

As short as possible:

  • Blog
  • Posts
  • Posts - Comments
  • Replies
  • Notifications
  • Settings

I think, PayOuts and Communities do not necessarily have to be directly visible from the profile.

Ok.., so my rank would be:

  • Posts
  • Blog
  • Notifications
  • Replies
  • Posts - Comments
  • Posts - Payout
  • Communities
  • Settings

1 - Posts
2 - Posts - Comments
3 - Notifications
