Hello dear friends,

How are you all? I hope you are well. I am also fine by the grace of Allah. Today, I have come to participate in the first week of the Steemit Challenge SLC-S29/W3, organized by the Honorable organizer @sohanurrahman. A great memory of childhood games, whose name is " Nostalgia Of The Liitle Me : Childhood Food Memories". At the end of my life, I am going to open the page of my memories by greeting the respected organizer @sohanurrahman from the bottom of my heart for the fun childhood memories. And I feel proud to participate in the beautiful challenge.

What childhood food or dish do you still remember clearly, and why is it special to you?

Childhood is a time of joyful memories. Where only joy and happiness. A variety of foods were tasted. Whenever a food was prepared, it would reach me first because I was a child. Childhood was a wonderful time to eat food to my heart's content.
Among those delicious foods from my childhood, the one that I can still remember clearly is noodles. Although I had many favorite foods, noodles were my favorite food.

Not only in childhood, but noodles are still a very favorite food for me. Noodles are very favorite to me because of their delicious taste. When noodles are mixed with various types of vegetables, spices, eggs, soy sauce, tasting salt, green chilies, coriander leaves, and tomatoes, the taste and smell of the food become incredibly appealing.

Who usually prepared this food for you, and how did it make you feel at that time?

My mother used to make noodles for me most of the time; her cooking was amazing, as if the taste of the food would increase with the touch of her hands. I can clearly remember that when my mother made noodles, I would have more than my share. I would sit next to her and watch her cook, and would ask her every now and then when the noodles would be ready. Seeing my restlessness, my mother would discipline me gently, but I would not apply that discipline because I was addicted to eating noodles.
I felt that if I moved away from my mother, I might get less (although that was my stupid thought). I would keep following my mother until I ate noodles.

When and where did you usually eat it (home, school, village, special occasions)?

When I was a child, I did not need a specific time to eat noodles. Sometimes I would eat noodles instead of rice. But usually I would have noodles for my afternoon snack. The noodles would be soggy, and the afternoon snack would remain incomplete.

Besides, there were often noodles in the school tiffin box. I would share them with my friends while eating tiffin. I can still remember the noodles in my mother's hand after taking them to school, and we would fight over them.
Also, noodles were cooked during various functions and family gatherings. Back then, I would savor noodles to my heart's content.

What emotions come back when you think about the taste, smell, or moment?

The days of eating noodles in my childhood were extraordinary. I never thought I would ever write an article about my childhood noodle devotion. Noodles are still my and my son's favorite food. And he stays with me like me while cooking noodles. He also waits for the noodles to be finished.
However, one thing must be said, that I no longer enjoy the taste of my mother's cooking noodles. I still miss my mother's magical cooking. No matter how delicious and fun I cook and no matter how modern-day spices I use, it is never equal to the simple cooking method my mother used to make.
I can't find the love and sincerity with which my mother used to make noodles. Nowadays, all that is seen is a kind of sloppy cooking. So when I think of the taste, smell, or moment, I remember my mother's cooking, her loving discipline, and sitting in front of her to check if I ate with satisfaction.
I also remember kissing her forehead affectionately after eating and expressing her love. Today, those things remain only as memories.

Is this food still part of your life today, or does it remain only as a memory?

Noodles have indeed been a part of my life. I did not finish eating my childhood favorite food, only in my childhood. I remember many days of my working life when I used to go to the office with noodles and have lunch with noodles. I still work, and noodles are my daily companions.

Besides, noodles are on my favorite food list as an afternoon snack. Not only that, but my children have also got my habit. They are also very devoted to noodles, so I always have noodles in my house, and I enjoy making noodles and savoring their flavor.

I invite three of my friends to join the challenge

Greetings,

Thank you so much for participating in the contest.

You have very naturally shared your childhood memories around noodles, your mother’s cooking, and the small moments of that time. Sitting beside your mother while she cooked, the hurry, and her loving care and gentle scolding were described beautifully.

The description of the food’s taste, smell, and the moments spent with family clearly brings out a sense of nostalgia. I also liked how you showed the connection between your childhood habits and how they are now reflected in your children. The photos you took match the post well, and I especially liked the scene where you are feeding your child.

Overall, it is a heart-touching piece of writing that brings back childhood feelings for the reader. However, adding captions under the photos and including one or two recipe steps would have made it even better.
