The diary game ||"Preparations for making Nera on the night before Holi"
Burning of the Nyaara, which is celebrated on the night before Dol Purnima or Holi. This is a traditional Bengali festival. There is a separate history about this burning of the Nyaara. So, the girls of our hostel were preparing for burning the Nyaara. Where small structures made of straw, dry branches and leaves are made. But we could not find any straw in the hostel. So we collected dry branches and palm leaves.
This burning of the Nyaara is also called 'Chachar Pora' and 'Buri's house'.This is another form of Holika Dahan, which marks the arrival of spring. Various stories are narrated about it in Hinduism. Through this, evil forces are destroyed.So first we made a small structure made of straw, dry branches and leaves. Then we gathered a small long bamboo, on top of which was a paper box.
The sisters gave it a face with human eyes, nose and teeth using glue on that paper box. Then colorful flags were hung on a rope around the structure. Then two sisters appeared again wearing two masks of a cat and a lion. Then they stood on both sides of the Nair structure and took pictures of them. All in all, we were well prepared to make the Nair, although we completed it in a bit of a hurry.
