Today, I will share with you what I had for dinner. Since I am currently living in a hostel away from home, it is not possible for me to cook my own meals. Consequently, the hostel frequently serves us incredibly delicious food—though, of course, we do have to pay a meal charge for it. In any case, tonight's meal was a wonderful example of just that. It consisted of fluffy Basanti Pulao, a vegetable cutlet, cauliflower and potato Rezala, Paneer Kosha, salad, Sandesh, tomato chutney, Hajmola, and—as a beverage—a bottle of Campa Cola.Actually, there were two options available: Paneer Kosha and Chicken Kosha with potatoes; however, I chose the Paneer Kosha—the sole reason being that I do not consume any kind of meat.
Speaking of the taste of the food, in a word, it was extraordinary. For instance, the Basanti Pulao was perfectly fluffy and non-sticky. Moreover, it wasn't fried in excessive ghee—making it a healthy choice—and it contained a generous amount of cinnamon, cashews, and raisins, making it truly delightful to eat.
Next, the cauliflower and potato Rezala was quite good. Furthermore, since the paneer was made from pure cow's milk, the Paneer Kosha was not only beneficial for the body but also tasted excellent. The meal included a salad of cucumber and carrots, as well as a generously sized vegetable cutlet. This cutlet featured a filling made from a variety of vegetables—including beetroot—which made it taste quite delicious, even though it was served cold (it would undoubtedly have been even more enjoyable served hot).
Among the sweet items, there was Sandesh—a dry-style confection made from milk. There was also a tomato chutney; prepared as a thick, rich condiment with raisins and dates, it was absolutely delicious. Finally, with digestion in mind, we were provided with a packet of Hajmola and a beverage called Campa Cola, which proved to be truly refreshing and satisfying. All in all, the food was delightful, and I enjoyed every bite with great satisfaction.
