인터넷과 전자 메일의 출현으로 지난 20년 동안 커뮤니케이션 방법이 극적으로 변했다. 다른 사람에게 받아들여지고 싶은 욕구가 거대한 시장을 만들어 그곳에서 거액의 돈이 움직이고 있다.

이 장에서는 인터넷과 메일을 포함한 쓰기와 읽기에 대해 생각해 보자. 이미 앞에서 소개한 바 있는 육문 중에서 주로 눈에 의해 생각이 자극된다고 했다. 그런 의미에서 보기에 대한 부분도 참고하길 바란다.

With the advent of the Internet and email, the way we communicate has changed dramatically over the past 20 years. The desire to be accepted by others has created a huge marketplace, and there's a lot of money in it.
