SC-S29/W2- Nostalgia Of The Little Me : My School Days
Childhood days are good memories that brightens up my day and sparkles my smiles today.
During the course of this contest I really enjoyed remembering and writing them down as I'm about doing brings me much joy.
So what are those fun moments? What are those happy moments that I enjoyed during my childhood days in school? let's go there.
A moment that defines my school life
Let me talk about my secondary school life because that is the only one I will vividly remember how it happens.
My first day in school was a rainy day if that was 10th September 2007, I can still remember that cold breeze that blew me making me shivered. I went to a class very different from what I knew, I sat down and was afraid, new environment, new faces with different behaviours, new ways of doing things.
And then a teacher came in, the lecture started, I payed attention, enjoyed the classes answers questions in the class and yes the class was interactive and very interesting. I didn't know I was attracting myself to bully.
After the class, 3 girls and 2 boys came to me asking me "why I'm answering difficult questions in class, is it that I know more than them?" I was afraid they warned me to be careful or else they will beat me up. That was how I was welcomed in school at my first day. I was scared, the fear of what will happen the next day and subsequently didn't allow me sit anymore.
It really touched me that I can't forget that day till today. The way I was calm, didn't fight them back, calm them and they later became my study mates in school.

Description of how I felt as a student
As a student my greatest fear was failure, I believe in myself but then that fear of failure was within me all the time.
So I struggle round the clock of school hours to be sure I understand everything taught is understandable. So most times when I don't understand what has been taught, I felt my head is just empty and nothing can enter but then when I reached out to other people who understood it, they will explained then I will be fine.
A friend who mattered to you
I had a friend who played important role in my life. She was always there for me when I need help in understanding some problems, she was there. She practically took it upon herself to meet with me and ask about my difficulties and gave practical advice. She is older than me, we were not mate even in class but played her part well.
She was more than a friend, I took her as my sister because she played all role just to be there for me. I visited her last month and never forget how she took care of me in my childhood days. She inspired me, she motivated me, I still go to her when I'm depressed faced with difficulties.
A mistake or lesson from my school life
This one is huge, I remember a lesson of patience that I learnt, it was so touching I can't forget. I remembered when I was about finishing school, my cousin started.
She became so wild, makes bad friends, live immoral lifestyle in school, so one day I caught her and warned her, I talked to her as an elder sister but she became provoked. She told her dad and her dad reported to the school authorities lying against me that I'm influencing her badly and was expelled in school.
It was a very painful state but I accepted it, I left the school, I was calm and my patience pays. I got admitted in another school and finished my secondary school with good grades.
Reflecting on how those school days shaped who I am now
It has really shaped me to who I am now, I remember those days I love reading books, I applied what I read and it helps me in life. I remember this book I read that helps me being determined in life, "GIFTED HANDS by Ben Carson" this book shaped me and draws my attention to the healthcare sector. I also read Young people ask volume 1 & 2 and other books back then. Punctuality and neatness is also what I learned from my school, I was punctual, very neat and brilliant in school. I was appointed the head girl in my school for a year but I rejected it because I needed more time foe myself.
Reflecting on my school days, I played less and read more, I've seen the results, but I missed those play time.
This memories reminds me of how I started developing passion for health care and today I'm a health professional.
Therefore, this memories have taught me self discipline, it has taught to continue being consistent and focus on my determination to be successful.
I will like to invite @wirngo @lirvic and
@max-pro to take part in this contest

Greetings,
Thank you so much for participating in the contest.
The description of your first day really stood out, the fear and helplessness of being in a new environment is completely natural. Thank you for sharing this moment.
However, I felt really sad reading about the bullying incident by your classmates on that first day. Bullying can seriously affect a student’s life. Yet, I was impressed by your honesty and the calm way you handled the situation. It shows that even from a young age, you were learning patience and resilience, and because of that, you were able to form meaningful friendships later.
I also loved the story of your friend who supported you like an older sister. Having such senior friends is truly important in school life. I really appreciate how you tried to guide your cousin like an elder sister, for me it was a good and responsible effort. Even though your cousin and her family didn’t understand you at that time, which must have been painful, it reflects your caring and mature personality.
I also loved how you highlighted reading books as a good habit, which helps build determination. School life truly teaches the importance of discipline and cleanliness, and these habits become the foundation for future success.
I'm grateful 🤗
Your first day in school reminds me of how I used to take the opportunity of rainfall not to go to school early and then since my dad love his children to be educated we would force us to either enter the rain or he will drive us to school. I think your smartness is what attracted the 3 girls and 2 boys to you because they want to learn also from you. Good luck to you
Haha that's a good school days memories, thank you for stopping by, I appreciate
Your first story takes me down memory lane. Gosh, I remember when my twin brother and I were bullied on the first day we started secondary school.
It was over something so trivial but you know how unnecessarily vile kids can be.
We all need support in school and a good friend can help make your experiences better. I hope that your cousin and her dad later realised their mistake.
Kindness shouldn't be repaid with such act.
Oh I'm grateful for your comment, this contest has bring back lot of memories. For the girl, their consequences didn't take long to show up.
