Just a little more time waiting and I can finally get the bi-directional meter for my Solar power system of our house for us to achieve a zero-balance billing
Although time goes so fast, it is like an eternity of waiting time for that bi-directional power meter to replace our current power meter so that in the end we would achieve the point that we will not pay anymore electricity bills because of the capacity of our Solar power setup.
God-willing I might also purchase an electric grill sot hat I can make some grilled fish, meat, and vegetables for that matter without worrying about how much electricity it will cost me. The electric griller or broiler will also save us the trouble of buying coals for barbecue and the trouble of setting it up just to make some barbecue because with the electric barbecue griller, it just needs to be plugged into an outlet and it will be ready for use.
I can also take some hot shower during the night without adding cost for our electricity bills because of course we will just use the credits generated by our Solar panels which I believe will really produce so much credits for the reason that we have a lot of Soar panels installed numbering 18 with its combined capacity of 10 KWp and could produce more than 1 Megawatt if the Sun will be shining everyday.
Like I said in my past blog posts, we will have to wait for the next electricity bill to reflect my father's name on it which is a requirement for replacing the current power meter with the bi-directional type and it will take at least a few days after the 28th of this current month of March for that to happen.
The assistance of the Solar power contractor helps a lot plus my he is also an acquaintance of my brother because he had been his co-worker at work but now ventured in specializing about offering Solar power to people who wants it given that they have the qualification to have it installed to their homes.
It is because the solar panels are heavy particularly if there will be many panels that have to get installed, so you would want to have a thick roof in order to prevent problems like leaking from your roof when it would rain. It is also a requirement that the electrical connection is named after the owner of the house because otherwise they will have to submit some documents similar to what we have submitted so that the process will go well especially if the customer wants to use the net-metering system with their grid-tied solar power system.
Right now the cost per kWh in our area is PHP 13.8161 which is higher than the previous months, and so with that electricity rate, I can expect that we will have to pay more than PHP 2000 for this month because our normal consumption is still around 145-/+ kWh per month because we are now using a big TV (55 inches) and water heater in the early morning if I am scheduled for an early dialysis session. Although I use air conditioner during the day, the cost of its operation is being handled by our Solar power system which for now had been temporarily set for only giving power based on the load during the day. That is why during the night we are drawing 100% power from the grid. That will change once the net-metering service goes live which I am already thanking God for because of the better life it will cause for me and my parents.
