Month 13 Steemits Monthly Report 14/10/2017
Hello Steemian and wow month 13 already I cant believe its already been another whole month since it was my very first Steemit.com birthday.
So now that a whole year as gone past I can reflect back on how much I have progressed and while its not the best performance on the site for me its still amazing how you can earn a few bucks on here and also meet some awesome people while doing it.

So what of the monthly reports? Well I wasn't sure if I was going to continue doing them after my first year but I feel that I would still like to have some idea on how much I am achieving each month while I am sure things are progressing nicely I still want to stay in check, plus I have heard the data can help out some newbies get an idea on what to expect.
So I wont be starting fresh from say month 1 I think I will continue this on with month 13.
But before we do that for the newbies lets very quickly recap and look at month 1.

Yes I realise they arent the most amazing results you probably expected to see but for someone with no previous fan base or aided by any whale inner circle I guess they arent bad results.

Apparently when I checked there was around 405,000 steemit users and I last checked my steem power ranking a few days ago and I was around number #2599 which is very exciting! As for months now I haven't been going up I have been going down mostly but looks like I have recovered, for now atleast and going up again hopefully a little more next month.
Most Steemit gains score? 👊
I had a post that made me just over $50 the first month, then I saw it! The Steemit.com potential!
But would you believe I never beat that earned reward score for a whole year! Meaning it was infact this month 13 that I finally beat my score from all the way back in month 1.
Sounds insane but remember the price of Steem on that month was just over $4.00 !! Anyway my new high score to beat is $94.00
My most successful power post was actually back in month 7 when I had one post make me 271 power!
My highest post so far on votes? 👨
The most amount of votes I managed on a single post so far was 213, that post made me only 8.60

Another thing I will add is please vote more on those who are active and have under 4000 steem power the more people we have over 4000 power the more people will earn in the future as the trending page needs variety.
The downfall is the circle jerking when it comes to votes not enough whales are voting on the minnows and dolphins, creating a very predictable trending page.

I wrote an article about upvotes making a difference in the lives of people in third world nations. That said, upvotes are so important for people starting out. No matter the monetary value, people need to see progress. Upvotes do that.
Everyone needs encouragement. There are times we are all lacking in motivation. Personally, I see such great potential that I am not going to stop contributing here no matter how long it takes. Sadly, few have the same outlook. They need to be rewarded.
The upvote system is incredible in the sense it costs one nothing from their wallet. Each vote has a value but the voter doesnt pay it. The compensation is generated out of the pool created that day. So there is absolutely no reason not to upvote. And yes I do understand about sapping VP.
Thank you @taskmaster4450 yes these little votes are very valuable to those with little I for one dont have much either so anything really helps and any progress leads to enguragement. Oh yes I am glad someone else can also see the value this can bring I have seen many many already give up and leave, 13 months and I am not going anywhere. The system is amazing its almost like printing money to help others how much better could it be! Very exciting! No reason not to upvote. Thank you for the wise comment.
Well you might have little but together we can grow.
My desire is to get bigger so that I can pass around a lot of votes that actually have some weight to them. The voting system, losing so much power, makes it tough to just keep upvoting all the good content I come across...at least at a valuable rate. I can upvote at 1% but that doesnt give them much. At least then I can go all day long with only a few seconds in between.
How to best work it? I dont know at the moment...but I am trying to figure it out.
