GLORY Kickboxing brings a super fight to it's 36th event in Oberhausen, Germany. The legendary right hook of Badr 'Bad Boy' Hari vs. the speed and stamina of Rico 'The Dutch Prince' Verhoeven will make this fight one for the ages!
Badr Hari
VS
Rico Verhoeven
Fighter Profile: Badr Hari
Badr Hari is a legendary Moroccan kickboxer who has claimed world fame and popularity for his inside and outside the ring antics. Known for his criminal past and lack of respect for pretty much anyone walking the planet, Badr remains polarizing in this niche sport for the pseudo-masses. Badr is a man who creates a spectacle with every punch thrown, he is less of a puzzle and more of a spiked collar...all opponent's expect the whirlwind but none are prepared.
The Moroccan's blitzing nature causes panic in his opponents, and each time out he is able to control the pace and throw men into the fire with him. Badr will eat the knees of giants like Alistair Overeem and Semmy Schilt to launch the right hook and put them out...which he did. The 'Bad Boy' has ended many a night early with his earth shattering power...his 5 win streak beginning with his win to claim the Showtime Heavyweight Kickboxing Belt and K-i Grand Prix is truly mythic.
Badr is an explosive and volatile fighter who personifies chaos; power is a constant for this man and at 32 people forget he is still somewhat young. In fight years Hari is as experienced as they come, and in his return fight against Ismael Londt last year, he showed that he can dismantle an opponent for 1 round or for 3 rounds and still be able to finish. Badr seems motivated for this fight; bad blood seems to have renewed his motivation to become his old self...and that is frightening.
Fighter Profile: Rico Verhoeven
Rico Verhoeven is the Dutch Kickboxing Prince and the fighting pride of the Netherlands; he resembles the new guard to legends of the past like Semmy Schilt and Ernesto Hoost. The Prince is hitting his fighting prime after learning from the good and bad in his past performances, his run to win the GLORY Heavyweight tournament final was awe inspiring...he not only avenged his only pure knockout loss to Errol Zimmerman, but he dominated now top 3 contender Daniel Ghita at every facet of striking and movement.
Rico has developed his technical game to a very high degree, and since he expends less with every strike thrown...his stamina seems to overwhelm opponents in recent fights and actually provide finishes for the once potent 3 round fighter. Although Rico's finish rate is one of the lowest for the super heavyweight division, do not be fooled...he can throw as heavy as the rest of them he simply chooses not to.
The Glory champion has taken on a wide array of new blood signed to the organization, and his domination of Brestovac and Adegbuyi whom won the Glory Heavyweight Tournament shows he is leagues above the rest in his weight class. Rico is one piece of this titanic event in his homeland, and he will look to seal this night with a win and his title!
The Matchup
Kickboxing has forever remained a gentlemen's sport, more of the point game and art of striking as opposed to the vicious nature of boxing and other combat entities. We watch this fight and can expect nothing but the exact opposite of that mainstay...one man in Badr Hari will show the new faces to the sport why he was a legend in his day. Exciting, charismatic, explosive and insane are all good words to describe him, and he fights as he lives...without caution or care.
Verhoeven has made a name for himself as streaking Glory champ, and all around best-conditioned fighter in the business. He has had a tough string of knockout losses with one loss coming early last year...he still holds his championship title due to the organization being Kunlun, not Glory. Rico has always had a problem with hitters, and even with his refined game he still struggles to maintain ring control and dominate without getting tagged.
Badr Hari showed excellent power (without restraint) against Londt last year; he not only dropped him in the first minute of the fight, but dropped him in each round finishing in the third with his devastating right hand. He showed signs of slowing in the second round, but Badr has never cared of conditioning as his mission is to seek and destroy as fast as possible. To nullify a madman one can not fight his fight, Rico will need to play his own game of staying on the outside and picking Badr off with shots to the body and legs, Rico is a master at finishing combinations with leg strikes and causing tremendous damage over time.
This battle will display the contrast of fighting in a more complex, technical fashion versus the blistering and powerful nature of the old guard. This is a wild one that will end in nothing less than fireworks, Für Ruhm!

How to Play
Vote on the main post to enter the bet (main post rewards will also be added to the Stake Pool).
Cast your Vote Bet on ONLY ONE outcome for which you bet on for the win (Multiple comment votes will be automatically disqualified by the script, unvote and revote counts as multiple votes and will be disqualified).
After 24 hours, the post and related game comments payout to the pool; remember 25% voters rewards are deducted from the total post payout value first as per Steem curation rules. Voters are rewarded in standard fashion in proportion to their Steem Power holdings.
The Stake Pool:
The remaining 75% of the total payout is paid out in 50% Steem Power and 50% in liquid currencies, the latter now varies in payout ratio after the new fork. To make the process less complicated, we have decided to use all paid out SBD to buy Steem in the internal market to create a grand total Steem Stake Pool.
30% of the Stake Pool will be retained, of which 15% will go to the writer/sports presenter of the post, and the 15% balance towards editing, development and advertising.
70% of the Stake Pool will be held until the event/game outcome is determined.
Once the winning outcome is determined, we will execute a proprietary developed script that will divide and pay out the Steem rewards equally, using the Power Up method, to Mass Distribute SP to all participants that voted on the main post as the entrance fee as well as voted on the correct comment representing the winning outcome.
Only participants with a Reputation of 35 or more will qualify to earn SP rewards, but non-qualifiers can still vote and comment in support of the redistribution initiative.
Entry cut-off time is the earlier of the post payout or the start of the event.

@steemsports is not a traditional betting platform and no fiat currency is used as rewards or in casting bets; as such does not fall under any gaming and gambling jurisdictions; but even so, users are urged to first consult with the laws and age restrictions of their countries.
@steemsports in the unlikely event that when the Stake Pool is divided up between the winners and the nomenclature resolution goes below the third decimal place (example: 0.0001), then Steem decimal restrictions won’t allow a payout and the pool will carry over to the next game.
Please vote responsibly :).
