Daily Dream/Meditation #7
I wanted to start a simple daily Dream and Meditation blog to get me back on track and I thought what better way than Steemit to keep me motivated! I get paid and am more likely to do my exercises as "hopefully" people will want to keep track of my progress and I also want to keep track of YOURS! If you have or are starting your own dream or meditation blog please paste your steemit webpage link below "after you post" in my comment section below and I WILL check out your blog and we can all motivate EACH other to stay on track with our practices. Just try to keep it related to Dream/Meditation/Spiritual practices. You don't have to have an elaborate/fantastic story to share. If you do, that's great, but the goal here is to keep the momentum going with our practices. One thing I have done that helps is make a folder in your favorites on your browser and save the webpage of one article of someone you like on steem and use that to click on their username to check their articles. Easy way to do it since there is no friend list. I will probably attach this paragraph to each post, so if you are viewing these daily you can just skip this section each time. Remember- The more often you practice your Dream/Meditation routine, the better "like any else" you will become.
Meditation:
Time- Early Morning
Meditation- 15 minutes
Focus- 1/10 (Focus is improving, thoughts are slowing)
Focus object- Breath
Body- Relaxed 15%
Position- Half lotus
Insight- Keep focusing on breath, let thoughts go.
Dream- Setting "Restaurant"
Little History- The friend I dreamed about has been in the Restaurant business a long time and the dream kinda makes sense, as much as a dream would :)
Back home in Louisiana visiting an old friend that I haven't seen in quite a long time. He wants me to open a Restaurant with him and starts going into detail about what we could do to make this happen. I immediately feel this is not a good idea, but he is insistent about opening it. He takes off to go show me where it is and I am following behind him on a Motorcycle, and for some reason he doesn't notice that I'm there and I can hear him on the phone with my other friends. He is explaining to them that I don't want to open it with him and he doesn't know why. I decide to write him a letter about why I think this is a bad idea and I notice another letter in front of me that someone wrote him before, explaining why "they" didn't trust him and did not want to do it. I see the word "boy" in the letter and for some reason I just feel that he does not like that word at all. I was writing the letter and accidentally put the word in it somewhere, but quickly erased it and wrote over it. He reads the letter I wrote and starts questioning me on this spot that was erased and then he knows "somehow" that i used the word "boy" in it and gets very upset. After some negotiating we settle things down and he goes to the kitchen to cook, and the food he serves ends up being really good and ultimately end up working things out.
Translation- Sometimes you "Really" want to do projects with friends, but find out they aren't "technically" qualified and feelings get hurt on both sides unfortunately.

Thanks jordanlindsey, there will be more to come, just getting back in the habit of my daily practices.

Lol, well I use to be able to meditate solid and very focused for around 45 minutes to an hour, and that was almost 100% focused the whole time. So I judge myself a little harsher than others. I've taken about 6 to 8 months off from my practices, so it's basically like starting over at that point. Probably will move up a point a month if I had to guess.

Interesting, never read that before. I do believe that inflammation is under-rated in our society though. I take tumeric (curcumin) daily and it's suppose to help with inflammation. They think many, many, problems come for some form of inflammation. So best to keep it low as possible!

Yesterday I did my walking meditation twice! I fell asleep at the end of my yoga class... I think I can conclude that meditation works! :)
I think your "not" suppose to fall asleep :), two meditations in a day though, you probably deserve it.
OH! So it just means that I need more sleep. LOL
