SEC-S30W1: Anecdotes that teach: (Time and tide wait for none)
Friends, without further ado, let's get straight to the main point.I am talking about the 2024 flood, a huge flood swept through the Feni district of Bangladesh and countless people lost their lives in that flood and that was only because of their own mistakes. That memory is what I am going to highlight today through this competition from which there is a lesson to be learned and a message to be learned for everyone.
When the water was full all around and water came from India and entered our Feni area and people's houses all around were submerged under water. In such a situation, rescue operations are going on in different areas, some are rescuing people with boats, some are rescuing people with big trucks, and some are rescuing people with speedboards.
One problem happened to everyone here, so much so that people did not actually understand that the water would rise so much at night that it would cause people's deaths and disrupt and damage people's daily lives. No one could actually imagine this, but in such a situation, IM buildings, houses, etc. were sinking, people started crying. However, here people made some mistakes and people lost their lives due to human mistakes.
In one area in particular, when the floodwaters were seen rising, everyone in that area was told to go to the SAVE shelter center and not stay there. But none of them listened to anyone. They thought that the water would not increase any more than it was coming and that would not cause them any problems, but they happily started catching different types of fish that were coming in the floodwaters.
They did not take that warning seriously, due to which at one point the water in their area rose so fast and the entire family could not leave their house. Because there was so much water at night, they were in the house and the water entered there and there was no network to call anyone, the phones were also damaged by water. This was a very tragic incident for Feni district. For many more nights, no one was found to rescue them and they were determined to go there.
Finally, we learned that it is very important to work on time. Today, when these people were told to leave from there to SAVE ZUN, they did not go. And they have suffered a great loss because they did not do this work on time, which is never possible to recover. So I think that in fact, every work should be done on time.
And if you do not do it on time, the results can be very bad. So friends, this was the message today that whoever does not do the work on time, if he does not do it on time, he will face such danger and this is a lesson for all of us and it has given me a very big lesson. Thank you all very much.
