The Super Tree of LED Lights

in #art4 days ago

Shopping Malls are supposed to be for shopping but these days I see they are more about getting different types of experiences along with shopping. On my recent visit to Delhi, in one of the Malls I came across quite a few art pieces. Of which one I already shared previously and sharing one more here. The Super tree of light, which is found outside one of the city malls. It's a giant mushroom shaped structure that looks like the Singapore's Gardens by the Bay Super tree.

The trunk is a 360 degrees curved LED Wall, and the canopy on top is a web of programmable LED nodes. At night it glows and becomes a lively structure. It looks like an explosion of colors forming and breaking apart into a running human figure. It's just not a screen but a digital performance art.

The mall culture is changing with time. There used to be screens before but now it's getting replaced with this kind of art displays. Nowadays photography is also one major activity where people go and backdrops like these do add up glam to the pictures.
