Celebrating Nowruz
Yesterday was Nowruz, it's the Iranian New Year, and we Zoroastrians celebrate Nowruz back in India also because our roots go back to Persia. One of our friend is Irani so she had a celebration at her home, which she normally does it every year, and invites the full Zoroastrian community. We always look forward to this day as this is the only one day in the year where the full community comes together and we get to meet each other. We eat, drink, dance and have loads of fun.
As per the traditions a table is set with items of significance. This is the table that you see. Looks lovely. You can see there is food, there are some plants also, every item has some meaning to it. Nowruz signifies the start of Spring and new beginnings.
