Celebrations for my Nieces

Yesterday we had celebrations for 2 of my nieces of my very dear friend. One turned 3 years old and the other one started walking, so we had a celebration planned for both of them. In our culture we do celebrate baby's first time sitting and first step, it is a milestone in their life. Though in this age they do not have any realization but when they grow up and look at the pictures they do appreciate and like it. Becomes a special memory of their life. I did all of these ceremonies for my son and whenever he sees the pictures he always says Thank you to me for making everything so special for him. Both the little ones are growing up in front of us and it's so wonderful to celebrate all of their milestones year on year. The elder one will start going to school and it feels like time is on a full speed gallop. Kids are growing up fast.

Both the celebrations were done together at home and we had some few friends join in to be a part of these special occasions. Small decor done for the 1st steps ceremony.

Both of their hand and foot prints are taken for a life long memory. I wish my parents would have also done these things for me. The time and environment I was born in was very different and these things would have never occurred to them.

Hubby is enjoying himself. After some time he was given the baby sitting responsibility of one of them. He could barely do it for 10 mins and then it was passed on to me again :-)
