Challenges to deal with

Running an Airbnb looks very fancy at times, but trust me everyday there are some or the other challenges to deal with. It's season time now so there are more bookings. May to Aug is the peak season but then it's also the monsoon, and with heavy rains in the area it's dealing with the customers plus dealing with the weather. The last few days we had very heavy rainfall, in the near by villages there was lot of destruction and there was loss of lives too. The Dam water was overflowing and the water was released impacting the villages at the foothills. The scenery and all looks amazing but the challenges to deal with takes away some part of the fun.

This last week, there was something or the other happening, certain roads reaching my home have been impacted so commuting challenges have occurred. Then one of the guests god knows what they did with my TV remote, it stopped working and then the day after guest had problems watching TV. When people come on vacation all these things are important. They are coming for fun and if the fun factor is missing then they leave on a bad note.

Today morning I had another chaos. My yesterday's guest had still not checked out and today's guest arrived before time. They were trying to manipulate me saying that someone from my team gave them an ok for an early check-in, whereas that was not the case. There is always something new to deal with. During these months, on those days when there are bookings, when I wake up I pray that everything goes smooth. Because there are so many unexpected challenges, especially with the electricals. In monsoon they are the ones that give the most trouble. My location is also in a remote place so getting anything is not easy. it takes time.
