Today morning scenes

Since the past few days it's been raining on and off in the city. Well, it does not rain much here in Muscat city, at the most we get 2 to 3 days of rain during the whole year and that too sometimes it's just a drizzle or a scanty rainfall for some minutes. The last few days it's been raining heavily and a lot of city part low lying areas are getting flooded. On Wednesday evening I had some work and wanted to step out. After it stopped raining me and hubby got our car out, but as soon as we got out from the basement parking area, on the outside we saw it was all flooded, we did not realize the depth of the water and barely we moved 50 meters and the car stopped. Somehow with some help we managed to push the car on a near-by slop and left it there.

Yesterday the mechanic arrived and checked and mentioned there was all water filled up and he will have to take it to the garage to get it checked. Today morning he was supposed to come, and it was again raining, and the there is water clogging again in my lane, even more then last time. Thankfully this time the car is on the slope so it will be saved. As of now I cannot even step out of my home, as the whole area near the entrance is clogged up with water. I have clicked pictures to send to the municipality of this situation. Because even little rain and we are stranded with chaos.

This black car is mine which somehow we managed to push it up on the slope. It was a task, we had to call for help from 5 people to do the job. Thankfully some people from our building came out to help.

The whole area is flooded with water. In some parts it more and some less, but I can definitely not step out in this situation. It will take couple of hours for the water to recede.
