Unusual notice at the restaurant

I was at a restaurant last evening and there I saw this notice on our table. I have never seen any restaurant putting up any such notice on the table ever, and I am not even sure if this correct. I do not think the restaurant can ever put up something like this. This restaurant is very popular and always crowded.

The thing is that the restaurant is in a place which is surrounded by many trees and plants, and especially in monsoon, the flies are a big problem. I am guessing that occasionally a fly may be falling into the food and customers in the past may have made an issue out of it. As such it's a very high standard restaurant so it's not about carelessness from their side. Their hygiene level is top notch in the place, but then who can control nature, so for their own protection they have put up this notice. Else people would ask to replace food.

I love dining at this place, so even with this notice I am not going to stop visiting. I gave them a suggestion that they can keep this notice and from their side they can also take some precautionary measure like putting a lid on the serving dish so that becomes a safety measure. They said they will put a thought on it. Let's see now.
