My back pain feels better
Since past 3 months I have been having the sciatica pain resurfacing. I was thinking that it would settle down with exercise and rest, but 2 months passed and it was still there. The pain did go down but not completely. I was getting tensed because this month I am travelling to Japan on a family holiday, and Japan has a lot of walking to do. I was worried that with the pain how would I manage so finally I decided to visit my Doctor. He has always told me that there is no complete cure for this and all that can be done is maintenance with good care. I understand that and I do take proper care of myself with regular exercises, yoga to strengthen my spine. I absolutely do not thing I have been advised is to pick up anything heavy.
I travel regularly and when I am traveling all the time, I am not able to get help with my bag, so there are times when I have to lift it myself. This is what happened 3 months back, I travelled from Mumbai to Muscat, I had heavy luggage. I had to pick up my cabin baggage to place it in the cabin and that time only I felt the pressure on my spine and realized I had done it wrong. The bag was almost 12 kgs and lifting it up did put a lot of pressure on my spine and it collapsed again. I was so upset with myself after this.
Anyways my Doctor has a quick cure also for me, he made me go through some physiotherapy sessions. I completed 5 sessions and the pain is almost gone. I am advised to do 5 more for complete relief and normalcy. Finally, I am feeling good that I will be able to travel hassle free of the back pain and walk comfortably. These physiotherapy sessions have always been my savior, but still, I need to be very careful. I need to be mindful and not get to a stage where these sessions may not be able to help me.
