The bad summer
It is exhausting these days to step out; the temperature is soaring up to 42 degrees right now during the afternoon time and in another 1 more month it can go up to 48 degrees also. I have to go to the hospital daily in the afternoon time for my physiotherapy session, I take a cab and go comfortably but just to get out of the building and to get to the cab also feels dehydrating at times. When I look at people doing on the field jobs, I really feel bad for them, how do they manage being in such heat. I am sure their health must be getting impacted and they must be getting dehydrated very soon.
The most impacted are the construction workers, who are out all day doing manual work. The Ministry has an order to shut down all such external work during afternoon period, but still, it is very difficult. Even at 6 in the evening, we feel extreme heat. Here in Middle East, we need to take good care of ourselves during these summer months. Good amount of water needs to be consumed. I consume electrolytes for keeping myself well hydrated and also include lot of fiber in my diet.
I am so glad that end of this month I will be travelling to Mumbai and there the weather may not exactly be very good but it will not be this harsh also. And rainy season will also start in Mumbai so it will get better. During these summer months I like to be in India only to beat this extreme heat, because if I am here in Muscat then I have to be indoors most of the time and that's something I do not like. A few more days for me to go.
