Happy Republic Day

Today is India's 77th Republic Day and the whole nation is celebrating as if it's some festival for us. Truly it is a festival for us. I cannot imagine what life would had been if in this day also Britishers had their hold on India. It would be living under monarchy and not in democracy. Today we Indians are all proud of our achievements and more then that we are proud of all those people who fought for India's Independence. Someone got into our house and then they were just not willing to leave, and we had to kick them off with great sacrifices. That's what the western world did 2 centuries back. They did not have anything of their own, so they wanted to get in to places which were flourishing and prospering and loot from them and build up their wealth.

If not for them India would have been the strongest economy in the world today. They left India in a state of poverty, looting almost every possible thing they could and from there we did rise up again and today have a significant status in the world. Today Indians are spread all across the world in prominent positions and that shows how powerful we have become. I am very proud of being an India.
