Dealing with crises
Today morning I decided to stock up some utilities for home that can last for a couple of months. Every time I am going to the supermarket I see the prices of food, and other commodities gone up. Every Wednesday we have a offer day where groceries are available at a discounted price. Today morning I went to buy some veggies and saw that there is no offer. There were but on things which are not very useful. With the war situation not getting any resolution, things are getting difficult by the day.
I booked a gas cylinder 8 days back and still not received the cylinder. Normally I would receive it in 2 days time, but now it's more then a week and still not received and not even sure by when it will be delivered. Right now we are seeing minor effects but if this situation continues it can get bad and we may see shortage of many things. I cannot store fresh vegetables in big quantity, but whatever food items which can last for couple of months, I decided to store it, like rice, pulses, oil, flour, masalas and home cleaning items. During Covid times also I did the same and it was very helpful because then I did not have to worry for some months.
It's always good to prepare for emergencies. The war situation is making everything very volatile and we all expected that it would end in a few days, but it has not and it will be almost a month now to this situation and one never knows how long it will still go on. We have some crazy people on the top driving all of this, and they do not care for anything, because it never impacts them. Though as of now it is not a crises situation but if this goes on, it can soon get into that mode.
