Hiking up the trail
During my visit to Japan, we made a day excursion to the Miyajama island. This place is famous for floating Torri Gate. We visited that part of the island and after that I was looking for something very specific. I had come across a very interesting cave on Instagram in this place and I wanted to visit. I was following google maps, which led me to this trail. The map got confusing after a while because there were multiple trails on this path and I was not able to exactly identify which path to take.
Anyways I thought, I will climb up for some distance and see if I can find anything. On the way there were some people coming down, I checked with them if they had found any caves on their way and they told me No, there was nothing. I still did not feel like giving up, thinking may-be they must have missed it. After a while the map showed I had reached my destination, but I could not find anything except for the wilderness, so then I thought I should return back down.
I did not find the caves but still the hike up was amazing, with sounds of nature. There is a shrine nearby and I could keep hearing the bells every few seconds, then the sound of water in the flowing stream, the chirping birds. It was all so magical that I felt like continuing and not getting out of the place, but then I had to look at the time and manage my schedule also so there was no choice but to come down.
