Holy Basil from my Garden
Holy Basil is one of my favorite plant. I want to have them as many as possible in my garden. I have a couple of them growing in my garden. While the Basil plant has quite a lot of medicinal properties, I also like to keep it because of it's spiritual significance. In our Indian homes Basil is considered to be a sacred plant for the home bringing in good luck and prosperity in the home. If you visit an Indian home and if they have a garden then it's very likely that the Basil plant will be there. They grow easy and fast, and do not need much of maintenance also.
The fragrance is also very soothing, I use the Basil leaves in my herbal tea on a daily basil. In Ayurveda also it is very commonly used, especially in making Essential oils. From Health perspective they are a good immunity booster and have antioxidant properties.
Let me share with you the Basil plants from my Garden
This small one has grown from the fallen seeds of the bigger plant. I have not grown it separately, it started growing by itself.
Life feels to be in full bloom when your garden is in full bloom.
