The "little more" is where joy lives

When you are working in a job, you get your monthly pay checks end of the month. The first week of the month feels special, the account gets loaded but as the month moves on and the bills and payments starts getting deducted and the balance goes down it feels the same rut again. Getting month on month salary does not feel exciting, even if it is money coming in. The real excitement is felt when there is some additional pay out like a Bonus or a performance pay or any other additional incentive. Even before it's received I would start making plans on how to use it. The plans are always bigger then the amount received.

In every area of life it is the same, when you keep receiving something standard on a regular basis you do not feel much value for it but anything that is received additional we feel super excited about it. There is happiness in getting just enough, but there is joy in getting a little extra. It's not about how much, it is about the surprise. Some times when we go shopping and we receive that little gift from the shop, it feels of more value then the item bought. Some time back I had been for shopping, after the purchase when I was at the billing, they gave me a gift of 2 mugs. I was super excited. I clicked pictures of it and sent to hubby. It was nothing great but the gift felt special.

Most of the days life becomes a transaction, budgeting time, money, energy, expecting everything to go as planned and in that monotony, if something extra breaks up, it feels like grace. Somewhere the Universe felt you deserve that little extra, and you feel the kindness around you in this moment. And sometimes this can leave a big impact on you, the kindness you feel you may want to pass it on to some one else also.

Life gives us what's due for us, but sometimes it does gives us a surprise by giving us a little more.
