Scam Alert

I have been constantly receiving phone calls on google meet with id that mentions Oman Police. I have not been answering these calls, they are scam. But I did not realize this for the very first time when I received tgis call. The first time I had received this call, I was scared thinking why the police is calling and I had answered also. They told me that some of my bank kyc is not done and it's illegal. I felt in that moment something is fishy because if my kyc is not done I will get constant reminders from bank or a call from bank, why does police have to call me for this. I had visited bank a few days ago before this call, that time they had not mention anything. Since it was a google call, I told them I am out of Country. They started questioning me when I will return back, I told them I dont know and disconnected.

I spoke to my hubby about it and he then checked with the bank directly. They informed us that this is a scam and not to answer these calls. Me and hubby keep receiving these calls on and off and we block numbers but they just keep coming from different IDs and numbers.

The fakeness is so smart and real like that it looks genuine and can easily get trapped. These scammers keep finding new ways and means of scamming and sometimes I feel that it's so easy to get trapped
