It's the Sale season
During festivals and holiday season, shopping becomes inevitable and if there is Sale then all the more you cannot resist. Even if you do not shop, you want to check out. Sometimes I feel that this Sale thing is a big scam. There are some places who genuinely have a good sale but some of the stores I see they hike up prices and then on that they put discount, which then comes to almost the same price as of the original. But just the name Sale lures us to buy. Normally I do some shopping in the month of November because there are many back-to-back occasions. November is not the Sale season, but offers start coming up, and those are also good ones.
This time just a day before leaving from Muscat, I had to buy couple of things from the Mall, so I visited and all around it was Sale promotion going on. To lure the customers further, they had also arranged for some entertainment activities for the kids. I somehow resisted myself to not get into any of these shops and just keep to my work and leave as early as I could.
This is the Omani traditional performance where they do drumming and dancing on the beats of the drum.
In a few days' time I will visit the Mall here in Mumbai and see if there is any Sale going on, as January is my and hubby's birthday month and I need to buy something for both of us. Let's see if I can get something.
