The travel chaos

in #travel6 hours ago

Yesterday, I started my journey for Japan. It was a long travel day with alnost total 26 hours of travel time. My first flight was from Muscat to Mumbai and then Mumbai to Tokyo. There was almost 4 hours wait time between the 2 flights, so I had decided, I will make a quick visit at home in Mumbai, had some extra luggage which I was supposed to drop off. Everything was arranged.

But then on reaching airport got to know that our Muscat to Mumbai flight was delayed by 2.5 hrs. In that moment I was scared and nervous, thinking what if it gets more delayed. And then I had the extra luggage also, which I had to leave in Mumbai. With this delay it was impossible for me to go home and return back. Luckily my niece was in town and I requested her if she could come to the airport to take the luggage and she agreed.

The flight did not get delayed further, we reached Mumbai just in time for our Tokyo flight. My son met us at the airport and after that it was all smooth. On reaching Tokyo, again it was all smooth. I had completed the immigration online so we came out very quick. I had booked a cab in advance so he was also waiting for us. We reached our Hotel by 10 a.m. The hotel check-in was at 3, we requested early check-in but then the previous guest had not left so we had to wait in the lobby.

I was feeling exhausted and wanted to sleep, so we tried looking for hourly bed arrangements in the nearby area, which is very common in Japan. It was hard luck there, as everything was full. At 12 finally we got the room, and we all crashed.

The day 1 itinerary got little disturbed, our first point we missed, because we over slept but then later on we did other places.

So that's the update so far on my journey of reaching Tokyo.
