Half Birthday Trends

As time goes by, new trends keep coming up. Till a decade back, it was a trend of celebrating the first birthday. Now the new trend since the past few years is to celebrate half birthday first and then of course the first birthday follows. And mind it, it's not a small celebration, it's as good as celebrating the first birthday, having friends and family come over to be a part of the celebrations.

Yesterday was my friend's son's half birthday celebration and my hubby and hubby had gone there to be a part of their celebrations. My son is grown up now; I need to wait till I have my grandchildren. In the mean time I am enjoying these moments of little munchkins of my friends, baby-sitting them, spending time with them. It was a small gathering; she had not invited many people, just the few of us who are close to us. Better this way. As it is, the baby has no clue what's happening. These celebrations we as parents do it for our own satisfaction and joy. I am their oldest aunt, probably when they will grow up I will not be around also, so they may not even know who I am in real. That's life

It was a nice joyful moment for all of us. We cut the cake showered blessings on the little baby, had some small bites and with lots of love concluded the celebrations.
